About Love in a Mist

Love-in-a-Mist is a charming annual flowering plant loved for its delicate, star-shaped blooms nestled in soft, feathery green bracts—giving it the "misty" look that inspired its name. Native to the Mediterranean, it grows 30-60cm tall, blooms in spring and early summer with blue, white, pink or purple flowers, and produces unique balloon-shaped seed pods that are perfect for fresh and dried floral arrangements. Easy to grow, it thrives in full sun to partial shade, self-seeds readily, and is a great addition to cottage gardens, borders, and cut flower beds, also attracting bees and other pollinators.
