About Apricot Tree Seeds

Grow your own apricot tree from seed and enjoy delicious, sweet fruits. Apricot trees are hardy and ideal for home gardens, patios, or orchards, providing beautiful spring blossoms followed by tasty fruit.

Planting Guide:

  • When to Plant: Best sown in late winter or early spring.

  • Soil: Well-draining, fertile soil with organic matter.

  • Depth: Plant seeds 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm) deep.

  • Light: Full sun for optimal growth and fruiting.

  • Watering: Keep soil evenly moist during germination; reduce after seedlings establish.

  • Temperature: Prefers temperate climates; protect young plants from frost.

  • Germination Time: 3–6 weeks; cold stratification for 4–6 weeks can improve germination rates.

  • Growth Tip: Prune regularly to shape the tree and encourage fruit production.
